I was born and raised in suburbs of Chicago IL, when I moved to Florida 4 years ago, I started a full-time job at a local hospital call center which was sedentary and had no food options besides a traditional vending machine. This led me to eat out more and make unhealthy choices for snacks. I gained a lot of weight due to this and trying new restaurants in the area. During this time our daughter became severely sick for 7 months until she was diagnosed with Celiac disease. I decided I needed to have a job that allowed me to be more active and a better work life balance.
For the past 3 years, I have worked at my daughters’ elementary school, I LOVE helping the kids and being more active. Now that she started middle school, I started to think more about what my purpose is… I found that with a simple conversation at my community pool. Pursue it consulting helped find a business that checked all of the boxes of what is important to myself and my family. I have always loved to volunteer, been in healthcare since the age of 15, and I knew my purpose would be finding a way to help someone with my new business.
What better way than to bring healthier options to companies and schools! I have been on my own health journey the past 2 years and know often I am able to put the time and effort in at the gym but when there are busy days there are not many convenient healthy options. Also, there are many times there is not a gluten free option for my daughter while we are out.
I am very excited for this new adventure as a woman owned small business but have the best support of my family and friends.
